An Awareness-cum-Training Programme on Mango Crop Protection Practices was successfully conducted today at Kovvada Village, Visakhapatnam District, under PASIDI VELUGU Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO), promoted by BREDS.
The programme was graced by District Horticulture Officer Smt. Shyamala, Mandal Horticulture Officer Smt. Banu Pushta, and Mango Orchard Specialist Sri Appaji, who shared valuable, field-oriented insights on scientific and sustainable crop protection practices.
👨🌾 Participation & Learning:
Around 30 mango farmers, along with PASIDI VELUGU FPO staff, actively participated in the session. The programme focused on enhancing farmers’ practical knowledge to improve productivity while effectively managing pests and diseases.
BREDS played a key role in organizing the programme through farmer mobilization, coordination with the Horticulture Department, and capacity building of the FPO and its members.
